Program and Curriculum Templates

In responding to AS-946-22, three different documents were created to support the academic planning process. These reports will be submitted to college curriculum committees by January 27, 2023.

Here are examples of the materials departments received:

  • Catalog Comparison — Each undergraduate program has an exemplar of a curriculum on the semester calendar, ideally from a CSU campus that recently converted to semesters. Given the specialization of most graduate programs, exemplars were not identified. Graduate programs that would like an example should email Rachel Fernflores, Director of Semester Conversion. Example: Music, BA

  • Academic Program Draft Proposals — Each undergraduate and graduate degree program received a Word document, which outlines key considerations faculty should keep in mind as they review their program:
    • Program Overview
    • Program Mission, Vision, and Learning Objectives/Outcomes
    • Program Changes (separate spreadsheet)
    • Course Changes (separate spreadsheet)
    • Curriculum Flowchart
    • Transfer Articulation (undergraduate only)
    • Support Resources
  • Program Plan — Each undergraduate and graduate program received a prefilled spreadsheet listing all degree and subprograms. Faculty are asked to outline their plans to convert or significantly redesign these programs. There is also a space to identify any plans to create or suspend a program. If this is the case, that department is asked to email Angela Standifer, Academic Programs and Planning Program Development and Review Analyst, to determine next steps.

  • Department Course Plan — Each department received a prefilled spreadsheet listing all courses (regardless of prefix or level). Faculty are asked to outline their plans to create, significantly revise, convert, or deactivate these courses.

The Chancellor's Office is aware of our use of these templates.

If you did not receive access to your files, please email Rachel Fernflores.
